Lisa A. Nickerson
Principal
Lisa Nickerson is the founder and principal of NICKERSON. Lisa has over sixteen years of real estate experience and is the only person working in the field of Public Relations in the Boston area who has both residential and commercial leasing and investing experience.
Prior to founding Nickerson PR, Lisa worked as a stock broker with Smith Barney, a Commercial Leasing Broker and Investment Sales Broker with Codman, and served as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Codman. Always an entrepreneur at heart, Lisa was also the founder and CEO of ModernParent.com.
Lisa received her Bachelor’s degree from Boston College in Marketing and Finance and her Master’s degree of Business Administration at Babson College.
NICKERSON was founded in 2001. Lisa and friend Lynn Flaherty had worked well together on various events for many years. In 2001, they organized an incredibly successful 5K event called the Boston Freedom Run to support victims of 9/11. After the success of the Boston Freedom Run, they decided to start a consulting firm out of their homes called Nickerson Page (after Lisa and Lynn’s maiden names). As the company grew, Lynn chose to move into more of a consulting role while Lisa took control of the company and NICKERSON was born.
In addition to public relations Lisa has a passion for community service, which can be seen in her active contribution to worthy causes through the “Nickerson Community Commitment”. Lisa sits on the Board of Directors for Housing Families Inc. and is an active member of the Young Entrepreneurs Alliance. Lisa’s strategic vision, tireless enthusiasm, and extensive web of contacts serve as the power behind NICKERSON.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys hanging out with her three children, landscaping her house, and hot air ballooning with her dad.
